As civilian and commercial drone use rapidly increases and is continuing to evolve, the potential for misuse needs to be considered. There have already been enough drone incidents and near-misses to generate concern of the likelihood of collisions and loss events. Commercial drones are not easy to detect and hit and not easy to see by a human in the sky. Many COTS drones can easily fly 100 km/h fly 6 kilometers high. When launched directly from inside 5 kilometers, they literally leave very little time to react. Hence, they require to be detected and disabled in time. Drone detection and disruption cannot be done simply. Shooting them down pose safety risks and is prohibited in most of the countries. BATS' anti-drone expertise is built on a long history of radar, communications, countermeasures, and the strong understanding of customer needs. |
