The drone team of the Rotterdam fire brigade lost a drone during an incident on Saturday afternoon July 4th. The drone crashed for an unknown cause when flying near the ship. Since the Drone team has several drones with them, a replacement could be deployed quickly.

A spokesperson for the fire brigade said that the drone ended up in the water and that this did not pose a danger to the environment, the cause of the crash will be investigated later. Drone pilots of the fire brigade are very well trained and make a professional estimate to see whether it is responsible to fly the drone. Whether the drone has already been salvaged is not known.
