On 24 May 2012,  Frontex will hold the annual European Day for Border Guards (ED4BG) in Warsaw, featuring a main conference, and a series of debates and side events on the theme of “Smarter Borders”. An opening reception following the Frontex Management Board will take place on 23 May.

The event will be complemented with a technology exhibition, aiming to provide border guards with hands-on demonstrations of innovative solutions to the challenges they encounter in the performance of their daily activities. Thus, Frontex has invited relevant industry and researchers to showcase their innovative products/prototypes in a number of key areas and as an answer to specific challenges.

During the event, BATS will promote its last generation persistent radar GR12 as the cornerstone of its concept of mobile and autonomous solutions for land and maritime border protection.
