What is c4i?

What is c4i? C4i stands for: command, control, communications, computer and intelligence. Command and control is related to the decision making process, the exercise of direction by a decision maker over specific forces, and is supported by information technology (the computers and communications). Good situational awareness/information is absolutely vital nowadays. And that is exactly what c4i is about: c4i systems are designed to help you get a precise image of the situation via the interoperability with existing systems, the display of surveillance information and the information sharing.
